A private dog swimming pool?

Yup - dog swimming is what we do! You may be wondering ‘what makes Paws to Swim so different from taking my dog to the river?’

Well, lots of things! While the river and many of Virginia’s lakes are popular places to spend a beautiful summer day, we can’t deny that the water quality can leave much to be desired. There has also been a rising concern over dangerous algae blooms and contamination from runoff. Yuck! We don’t have to worry about that here! Our pools are maintained daily and the water chemistry is balanced just like a “human pool”, but with a lot more skimming! If we wouldn’t go in, we wouldn’t want your dog to go in either.

Our facility offers a safe space to let your dog swim, jump, and retrieve. Our indoor pools are kept at a comfortable temperature (between 82-85 degrees). That, in addition to our trained staff, the calm environment, gradual pool entrances, and abundance of toys and treats, can be a game changer for many dogs.

Our facility operates by private appointment only. This allows us to offer you the very best service, every time you and your pup come for a swim. When you book any of our pools, you can rest assured your dog won’t have to interact with unknown dogs or humans. Our staff has the knowledge and skillset to accommodate dogs with behavior challenges and provide a safe space. It’s our goal to make every client (human and dog) feel like they’re coming to their home away from home.
